Retail vs clinician-guided care: how routing works on this marketplace
Why some products add to the cart and others route you to a clinical intake, and what happens after you start that intake.

Two very different kinds of products live in this catalog. Most are ordinary retail wellness products: you add them to the cart and check out. A smaller set are prescription or clinician-reviewed programs from FutureSelf RX. Those are shown for education and pricing, but they are never sold in the cart.
How you can tell
Clinician-guided products carry a “Clinician review required” label and a “Clinician Review” button instead of “Add to cart”. They appear under Clinician-Guided Care and inside goals such as Weight, Recovery or Longevity as a separate section. The system enforces this: even if a clinical product were somehow sent to checkout, the server rejects it and returns the clinical route instead.
What happens when you start a review
Pressing “Start clinician review” records that you began the clinical pathway and hands you to the FutureSelf RX intake. From there the steps are: 1) you complete a medical intake and give the required consents; 2) a licensed provider reviews it; 3) your state’s eligibility rules are checked; 4) if a prescription is appropriate, it is filled by a licensed pharmacy and shipped to you.
A prescription is never guaranteed. The provider may decline, ask for labs, or recommend something different. Pricing shown on the marketplace is program pricing for information only.
Your information
The marketplace never sees or stores your intake answers. Nothing from the clinical intake is sent to advertising platforms, and the only thing the marketplace records is that a review was started, so we can report referrals separately from retail sales.
